Retrieve the username from URL parameter checkbox

This option works as described below by facilitating 2 different ways of setting up the portlet

  1. On a page on its own -“Retrieve the username from URL parameter” checkbox is not checked
User can enter his/her username and press the submit button. This will send the reactivation request for that user.

  2. On the deactivation page defined in the login page -“Retrieve the username from URL parameter” checkbox is checked
From the login portlet username will be sent as a parameter to the URL of the deactivation page and this username is picked up by the portlet and just the submit button is displayed.

Notes: Make sure to turn on the "Send the user's username to the inactive page" checkbox in the login portlet

  Example url:
  http://linux-test1:4410/user_request_activation/?username=user1

where the “user_request_activation” is the page given for “Go to page on inactive user account” option in the User Login portlet
